Will you marry me?

 {madison said YES!}

After months of being sure she is the one,

Harrison made it official in San Francisco,

on November 15,

when the two had the opportunity to travel with the Utes to Stanford.

After a tour of Stanford with the Board of Trustees,

they were invited to attend pre-game party

 at John Warnock's home, a Utah and Beta alumna.

 They traveled with recently engaged friends,

Sarah Paul & Justin Spangler,

staying at Sarah's parents' home in Pleasanton.

 This was Madison's first trip to San Francisco

and Harrison did everything he could to make it special,
with help from Sarah & Justin.

 San Francisco has always had a special place in our heart.

Grandma Joy & Grandpa Glenn honeymooned there.

With Uncle Allen & Aunt Judy nearby,

we have fond memories of fun trips to the City by the Bay.

I found out I was expecting Harrison right before

Craig and I set off on a road trip to San Francisco,

Napa Valley, then down the California Coast,

to Monterey, Carmel, and Santa Barbara,

Los Angeles and Disneyland.

Now San Fran just got even more special!

 On Saturday evening, the two went for sundaes at Ghirardelli Square,

while Justin & Sarah went off on their own

(to set the scene for H's proposal).

When they returned, they agreed to go view the Golden Gate Bridge.

Justin & Sarah found a reason to split once again,

though staying fairly close to be able to capture the moment on film.

Madison says she saw flowers on the wall

and while wondering if it was some sort of memorial,

turned to find Harrison down on one knee,

"Madison Taylor Black, will you marry me?"

 These two are over the moon for each other and

we are thrilled to welcome a beautiful daughter into our family!

We spent Sunday afternoon painting posters

for their return that evening.

 Gabriella's,

 and Madelyn's, all with Gaby's flower embellishments.

We couldn't be happier!

Exactly nine months after their first date, they announced their engagement
on Greek Row at the University of Utah.

 Before the men arrived,

the Chi-O sisters formed a circle, sang, and passed a candle

until Madison blew it out, signaling that she is engaged!

Gaby, Terry and I came out from the kitchen

to watch the Beta brothers enter and serenade Madison.

Harrison pinned his Beta pin on Madison

and the houses erupted in cheers.

After the brothers left, the sisters gathered around H&M,

who stood on the stairway so all could see.

They chanted enthusiastically in unison,

"We want the story! We want the story!", to which Madison responded.

This was followed by "We want the reasons! We want the reasons!"

Madison and Harrison each took a turn telling why they fell in love.

Harrison's speech was interrupted periodically with a choral

 "Ahhhhhhh!"

It was just about the sweetest thing to be a fly on the wall that night.

It brought back all the joy I felt during my own courtship.

Gabriella got a heavy dose of sorority life tonight

and has fallen in love with the idea of going Greek at the U.



 I made H pose for pictures right before he left on

the adventure of a lifetime.

We only have seven more months of him living at home.

It's absolutely surreal.

I couldn't be prouder of the man he has become!

Gaby had all kinds of proposal advice for Harrison,

gleaned from a Pinterest post, of course,
(get down on one knee, use her full name, etc.)

We were pleased to know he got Gaby's seal of approval in this department.
